After School Class Schedule:The After school schedule begins February 28th, each class meets once a week for six weeks.
Winter Art Journal classes begins Thursday March 3. The art journal class combines drawing and other mediums. Each student receives a art journal and has weekly assignments. - $50 for six week session plus $10 for materials- Minimum class size: 5
Winter Drawing classes begins Monday February 28 - $50 for six week session - minimum class size 5 students.
Winter Watercolor classes begin Tuesday March 1 - $50 for six week session plus $10 for materials minimum class size :5
Winter Printing/Painting Class begins Wednesday March 2 - $50 for six week session plus $25 for materials minimum class size:5

Class Information
Rum River Art Center offers daily art classes for elementary school-aged children. Rum River Art Center provides all the supplies. Acrylic painting and watercolor class require an additional material cost.
Drawing Class
In order to make a drawing, watercolor or painting of an object or thing, we teach our students that they need to see its individual sections (how it is constructed). To draw, our students learn to examine and isolate each part back into a whole. The drawing class is composed of three essential components of visual art:
Form (shape)
Size (mass, scale)
Placement (relationships)
Using a step-by-step method (the simple to the
complex) the student understands what is needed in
order to draw successfully. The techniques taught to the student, allows them to assist themselves to draw.
- Drawing class cost $50 includes all materials.
- Minimum Class size is 3 students
- Each student will bring home a drawing after each class
Watercolor Classes
Watercolor classes will be begin April 21st.
- Watercolor class will cost $50 plus $10 materials with a minimum class size of three students. Each student will complete six watercolors.
Private Drawing Lessons
Private drawing lessons are available by appointment.
